I’ve written ‘no’ but is not because I knew her first. It’s because she has been there for me through so much, she is a good person, I love her and I won’t dismiss someone from my life like that. 
I also wouldn’t want to be with someone so controlling. 
I don’t like my partners best friend. He is a workaholic who expects his wife to do everything for him and has not changed a single nappy nor watched his kids alone until they are 4. But I’m not going to tell my partner not to be friends with him. His friends are his decision.

I think I would need a good reason. If he just doesn't like her, no. He always needed a good reason for me to not trust his female friends (my instinct was correct BTW, always trust your gut ladies) so I need a good reason to stop being friends with my best friend.

My fiancé asked me to stop talking to my best friend because he didn’t like her. 
He didn’t like her because when we (and and bff) were in high school, she went to the counselor and told her my bf was selling drugs to football players. He wasn’t 🤦🏻‍♀️ 
I stopped talking to her. Even though she explained and apologized and I forgave her. But I stopped because he couldn’t forgive her and she never apologized to him

Never! My best friend has been in my life for 24 years, she has out stayed every relationship and knows me inside out. I call her my non-sexual life partner. If a SO ever asked me to stop being friends with her I would probably end it, because that would show he obviously doesn’t know me very well at all. I would then call her and we would laugh about it and make plans to live out our days in the nursing home together on our matching motorised scooters.
