What to expect at first ultrasound?

Hi all! I was just wondering if anyone could share any experiences or tips when anticipating your first ultrasound. I’m 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant and my OB has been monitoring my HCG levels and they have been increasing the way they should be since last week. He says that he wants to schedule me for a 7 week ultrasound and I’m a little nervous! Any advice or experiences shared would be very helpful ☺️

I suggest you drink plenty of water. Sometimes that helps find the baby without having to do a vaginal ultrasound which if it's early and they're having a hard time finding it. Learned the hard way.

They just look around, measure and find the heart beat and that’s pretty much it. Congrats !

For me it was a little strange but it went fine. She couldn’t see mine from he outside it was still too small so she had to have me insert the video thing... it’s just like inserting your partner or dildo or whatever up there... other than that part theres nothing too crazy. You get to hear the heartbeat and it’s amazing!!

I had my 1st ultrasound at 8 weeks & we could see her moving around & got to listen to her heartbeat. That was pretty much it, & of course pictures
