Spotting on the pill?

I know that one of the side effects of going on the pill is spotting, but is 4 days of heavy spotting + cramps something that I should start being concerned about? I still have 4 pills before I start the placebo pills and this began when I had 8 left. This is my first cycle on the pills, so I haven't been worrying about it.

It will take about 3 months for your body to adjust to the pills and if your period isn't regular by then you should talk to your doctor about changing pills.

I think the first time I started on the pill I didn't have my period for about a month or two in. If your still spotting after a few months then you'll need to talk to your doctor about it. Then they might decide to change your script to something a little stronger.
