I’m beyond upset about this, and may just stop talking to my family all together😐. My family feels that it is okay to discipline my child without my consent. (Not a simple smack on the butt, but belts, extension cords, and etc). Their excuse is that my child will need that type of discipline because he is a boy, and does not have a father figure in his life, and therefore needs that kind of upbringing. The main advocate is my brother, but I refuse to allow anyone to touch my child in that way, and I’m honestly okay with them not being in my child’s life. Everyone says that it’s not my place to tell anyone that they can’t discipline my son because they’re family, and that I’m overreacting. Honest opinions ladies, do you think that I’m overreacting to this?
