Water??

Hello moms, i m a first time mom.my baby is now 5 months old. I am also now thinking to give her solids but as we all know after 6 months we can give water to a baby but at this age like after solid feeding do we also need to give her water?? Or no need?

This is what my doctor gave to me. I started my baby on solids and cereals at 4.5months and he’s had a little bit of water/apple juice he’s just not real interested in it.

My baby is 4.5 months old and i started giving her a tiny amount of water. I wasn’t planning on it but she wanted it. Every time I drank water she would stare at it and reach for it and because the it’s summer time and it’s too hot I figured she’s ready for it.

I started solids this week at 5 months after my doctor said to start if he’s interested and can sit. He’s on oatmeal only and loves it! I’ll give him some veggies and fruit in the next few days. I was told they can start water from a cup around the same time but I’ll wait till 6 months for that.

I started giving my son water at 2months,sometimes when he starts crying,I give him water,he will drink it like he's been expecting it,lol,but yeah,he drinks and falls asleep. He is 6months now,sometimes he wakes up at night for feeding,after breastfeeding, I give him water,he goes back to sleep immediately 😊😊😊

They don’t recommend giving your baby water until like 8 or 9 months. They say milk is all your baby needs. At 3 months my son was very dehydrated and I kept giving him bottles and it didn’t help. Water did the trick. 
He sees us drink and he wants some so yes I give him water and watered down juice. 
He gets so thirsty. 
Butttt he’s eating solids so 🤷🏼‍♀️

I've been giving my little one just a sip here and there of baby water....our air went our a couple weeks ago and I didn't want her getting dehydrated ....I've read no more than 2 oz within a 24 hr period but again, just give her a few sips trying out her sippy cup

I have been giving my son a little water for the last couple weeks. Just an ounce or two at night if he wakes more than once for a feeding. He is already eating more than what he should in formula throughout the day so I’m trying not to overfeed at night. We are also starting solids this week.
