What do you think of the new NPR about infant formula?

I just read this... I have mixed feelings about how they wrote this story. As much as I do empathize with their concern of clean water being a must to use infant formula, I can’t shake the sense of feeling shame for using infant formula to supplement my son’s nutrition. What do you all think? Please share your thoughts.

I don’t see it as shaming but I definitely agree it should not be forced on women, there are definite risks if you don’t have access to clean water to use for formula or if you don’t have the money to buy the needed formula and water it down. There are risks of allergies to formula but not able to afford the expensive formula for allergies. A friend had to use a formula that was $40/can for 16oz and insurance didn’t help. I had to supplement with formula and didn’t feel bad because baby needed it
