Anybody else feel this way?

Question

Does anybody else feel as though their pregnancy has shown them who their real friends really are? I’m 36 weeks pregnant and I’ve had a few friends that I’ve always been there for through everything just forget all about me while pregnant and not even show up to my baby shower. It definitely took me by surprise and I was hurt even though I felt I should’ve seen this coming. Just wanting to know if any others out there are going through this? I’m definitely thankful for the real friends that have stood by me and have been super supportive.

It’s common for relationships to change when there is a big life stage change (getting into a relationship, getting married, having a baby, etc.) because priorities change between the friends. It took me a while to realize it when I was younger, but it’s always for the best. Some friends you thought were forever friends were only ever meant to be friends for a phase in your life, and sometimes that hurts. But it’s usually for the best and the new stage of life opens you up to meet new friends! Over my pregnancy some of my best friends have distanced themselves and have become quite shallow. I’m sad that our friendship has changed but I’m also very excited for all the Mom friends I will hopefully find over the next few months and years. 
Allow yourself to feel your feelings :) it’s ok!

As much as it hurts, I would consider it a blessing in disguise. You don’t want people like that in your life or in your child’s life. I have a few that haven’t really spoken to me since being pregnant and it sucked at first but I’ve just come to realize that its their loss and one day they will realize it. Keep your head up and focus on you and that precious baby of yours! ☺️  also, you’re never alone because you have all of us on here with you!

Unfortunately so.... I never really had any friends before I got pregnant soO.. I wasnt surprised when I didnt have any during this pregnancy. All I need is my Kids and My Fiancé! Excuse My Language, but Your better off... You'll meet some new ones and They wont be fake.... Im in jersey, so basically everyone here is as fake as the next fake girls boobs lol I like to stay to myself. Less Drama!!

I have been on bedrest for three months now and only a handful of people visited me multiple times. I really surprised me that some people cannot even take one hour in these three months to come over and say hi and chat a bit.
