How long did you wait to put sunscreen on your LO?

It’s supposed to be 30° today with a UV index of 9. I can’t avoid having my little one in the sun for a brief period of time. I put baby sunscreen on him then realized the back said wait till 6 months? I already patch tested her twice over the last week and nothing happened... am I in the clear? OPINIONS PLZ

I'm in Florida.  I want to go to the beach,  but most of the year is in min 90s . super hot and dangerous. my daughter sweats badly and gets super red in the face after just minutes in direct sunlight. summers in FL are brutal. for that reason i dont take my daughter to the beach or expose her to direct sunlight enough to need sunscreen.  pediatrician said to be very careful during hot weather,  because of heat exhaustion. and very careful with aun screen since many are quite bad for kids. 
we go in our covered patio pool and I let her walk around in the sun for no more than 10 minutes. I dont put sunscreen on yet.

We use babyganics sunscreen. I believe we put a tiny bit on her face when she was just 2 months.

My daughters doctor said we could start using some bug spray on her if we need to so I assume sun screen would be fine too. She’s 4 Months Old but we don’t go outside enough to need it. It’s too hot out there.

It's fine! I started my LO with sunscreen at 5 months when I take him to the back in the kiddie pool. I try to keep it in the shade but there just isn't enough! As long as it is baby safe sun block, which you said it is, no need to worry. 😊
