Alright, I'll tell the truth and say it, yes. We do love the children more than each other. None of that "It's a different love" bullshit here. I grew my children inside of me. I formed every single organ, bone, every tiny finger and tiny toe. I formed their heart within me, and I had it beat inside of me where I kept them safe and warm. I absolutely love my husband, and I adore him, but if i had to take a bullet for someone, it's going to be my children. I'd expect no less from him. If I had to rescue one or the other, we both know that we'd save our children without hesitation. I love my children unconditionally. They could shoot me in the face and I'd still love them. Neither my husband nor myself can make the same promise to each other. If I cheat, it's over, and he'd end up resenting me. If he were to change into someone I didn't recognize, it would be over and I'd fall out of love. So, no, it's not equal but different. The magnitude is nowhere even in the same ball park.

Mine is just my boyfriend and I would choose my kids over him any day but he also knows this and loves the fact that I put our kids over everything else. I wouldn’t say i love him less just in a different way.

Wow! Surprised but not surprised by all the yes’s. This is why divorce rates are up! My priorities align in such matter: God, Husband, Kids.... My reasoning is, my husband and I are mutually raising our children at which we both mutually love, and eventually those children will leave, and it’ll be only us. If I loved my kids more than him, what do I do when my kids leave? I’m not going to follow my children around when they’re 18, but I will follow my husband anywhere. He gave me those children, so why should I love something he gave me, and I gave him, more than I love him? Would any of you that answered yes, be upset if your husband answered in the same manner?

It’s not a competition. Why are people always trying to rank their love for other people? It’s not a zero-sum game. Your love for one person does not diminish your other for other people in your life.
