Different beliefs

How would you guys go about religious differences. My boyfriend is a Christian and I’m Buddhist. He is so set in his beliefs and unwilling to compromise on the smallest things. I have a tattoo on my arm that is Buddhist and every time we are around his father he makes me wear a jacket so he doesn’t see it I’m nearing his mom in September and she feels the same about ratios I don’t want to hide who I am to make the comfortable but I also don’t want you upset them. He also said the he never wanted to date anyone who wasn’t Christian so I’m just a little confused as to what I should do. Also a little hurt about the whole situation
