Coparenting

My babies father hasn’t been in my life since one month pregnant. He doesnt care to talk about anything with me at all nor how my son is doing.

I’m due next month, he has a new girlfriend. I don’t trust his capabilities of being a parent nor hers. She is 22 and they have been dating for a month. I don’t want my child to get attached to people and have them ripped out of his life when he likes them.

I clearly understand that we have the same amount of child custody and rights. That being said that this is more about how I have no known knowledge of how to handle this situations and was wondering if you could tell me some of the boundaries/tips you have had in a similar situation
