I cut off all my high school friends..is that wrong?

I cut off all my high school “friends” because they no longer included me and I always felt that they didn’t really want me around. It became more obvious when I invited them to my grad party but only one of them showed up. However I could tell that she didn’t want to be there. I kept the people around who I knew I was friends with because we still talk a lot or Snapchat. I feel kinda happy but I’m worried that I may be making a mistake..

While this isn't exactly a controversy, I did the same thing. I'm in contact with zero people from high school. Sure they may be my friends on Facebook but we aren't actually friends. I don't feel like they really liked me, even at school.

If they're not going to be there for you then you don't need them in your life. Cut them off and just surround yourself with people that actually care and pu5 effort in.

No,  you dont need to force  relationships.  I wouldn't  do anything persay, But just keep my distance.... and the relationships will just die out on its own

I don't have close relationships with anyone from school anymore either, it's quite normal. When you are in school you tend to have a limited pool of acquaintances, you'll develop friendships based on different things to adult friendships. As you grow up and head out into the world you change as a person (and so do your old school friends) and certainly by mid 20s you're unlikely to be anything like you were as a teenager so it's only natural that the basis for friendships change.
I do still keep in touch with old friends on social media, will always wish them a happy birthday and send my congratulations or condolences for major life events, and would say hello and even stop for a quick chat if we bump in to each other when out and about, maybe buy them a drink if we meet on a night out, I'd also be there for them if they ever had a major life crisis and needed some support, whether physical or moral. But other than that I get on with my life and they get on with theirs.

You can’t really know until you have a dialogue with them. Perhaps you’ve outgrown them, or vice versa. It’s possible self reflection is in order. It could be that particular group...it could be you. Or it could be as simple as scheduling. If you feel comfortable, move on. If they’re important to you, work it out.
