bleeding during first trimester

Hi , would like other womens thoughts and help please. I went to the doctors today as ive been spotting for another 3days now since last spotting (3 weeks ago implantation week) havin twinges and mild sharp pains all day and the flow is gettin heavier. Dr is sending me for a scan tomorrow morning. is this bleeding normal? google says its normal but to get checked out and now ive got to have a scan . Dr said i could be more further gone then we think which is 6weeks as we think so far. has anyone else had this? is everything ok?
