Save or toss cord stump?

My son's umbilical cord stump is about to fall off any day now 😢 I might be weird but idk if I just wanna throw it away, but idk what to do with it. Did anyone else keep their babies cord stump and if so what did you do with it?

my mom kept mine and put it in my baby book 😂 but I threw my sons away. idk something about it made me cringe lol.

We tossed it. Personally I found it gross, like a toe nail. Idk.

I put mine in the baby book with the bracelets from the hospital and the pregnancy test and everything, idk people might think it’s weird but that’s what connected you to your baby for the longest time I think it’s sentimental but totally up to you, I mean people keep sticks they’ve peed on so the umbilical cord shouldn’t seem that weird 😂

We tossed it, but have the rest of the umbilical cord. Since we had a home birth, we saved it and dried it in the shape of a heart.

I’m 25 and my mom still has mine. Didn’t do anything special just keep it in a plastic bag. It shriveled up and became brittle now but I loved looking at it as a kid lol
