I skipped my birth control for a month because i just wasnt able to buy them this month when i start my period this week am i supposed to take them the day i start my period or when i finish my period?

read the instructions that come with your pill. some are flexible and recommend you start on a sunday following your period or the first day of your period. this recommendation is more about trying to keep your period regular and keeping a schedule than specifically needing to start on a specific day. its easier to remember taking the pill on a sunday as well. usually, i believe the start date is just a suggestion and can technically be started any time. however the waiting period before its effective will differ

I was told to do it the first day so it became effective right away as opposed to taking it any other time and waiting the 7 days and possibly getting breakthrough bleeding.
