IVF first pregnancy. When do I go to family doctor (my fertility ob said after ultrasound)?" /> 
My fertility doc/ob said to go after the 7 week ultrasound. I am also already followed by an Endocrinologist. I made my appointment for after ultrasound but now I feel like that’s far...another 3 weeks.

They want to make sure everything is on track and that you no longer need their support before sending you on.

12 weeks is when I was released to start seeing my OBGYN.

Great thanks everyone. I’ve already put in an application to get more information about the midwifery program in our area. In Ontario they still deliver in the same hospital, same unit, etc as the OBs and they said I can also apply for an OB and make a decision after I meet with them both. So I will do that. And I have to find a sneaky way of finding out what the reputations are at the hospital without giving away my secret ...baha. And okay I will wait until the ultrasound to see my family doctor. Thanks for the info!

I am going to be released in the 8th week if everything goes well.  Will likely see ob at 10 weeks

My fertility clinic doesn’t release me officially until I’m 12 weeks, but I start seeing my OB this week at 9 weeks.  So there is a 3 week overlap.
