The Glidden brand paint is basically scentless. I painted in my small bathroom (before getting pregnant) and didn’t need any ventilation. We used the same paint in baby’s room and had the windows open in case, but it was still non toxic and had no smell.

Most paints now are ‘low-voc’ and are considered fairly safe to use while pregnant especially in a well-ventilated area :)

We moved into a new home when I was about 10 weeks along with my first. I painted several rooms in our house before we moved in. I made sure doors and windows were open and we had fans around!

I did, I painted outside so there wouldn’t be contained fumes, they also make face masks

Just do it in a ventilated room. Anyone should do that though, not just pregnant women.

Most people will advise you not to because of the fumes of the paint. Personally I think you’re okay as long as (if it’s an inside area) you wear a mask and try to keep the room ventilated. When we were repainting our room and nursery I tried to help but my family kept kicking me out or else I would’ve painted lol

They make Low VOC paint that is fine to use.  I have seen it at Lowes and Home Depot.  Make sure you have air movement and if possible have windows open.

I used chalk paint while pregnant but was outside. If you're painting a room I would make sure there is good ventilation and get a cheap little mask just for extra caution
