My husband, daughter and I just moved out of state and with the transition, my daughter went from daddy daycare to actual daycare. We slowly introduced a full time daycare schedule, and while the drop-offs have been sad/difficult, her teachers say she is doing alright overall. Its been about 2 weeks now that she has been going full time and we have noticed a big shift in her behavior. She doesn’t listen well anymore, is clingy like never before, and the tantrums are happening almost every other minute, or at least that’s what it feels like. Up until this time she was literally the best baby. Literally, she never cried and was always smiling. She is 19 months old now. She does have about 6 or 7 teeth that all just broke through (mostly molars). I want to believe that the teething is what has her acting wild but maybe it’s the daycare, and that she misses spending her days at home with daddy. Does anyone else have a 19 month old who all of a sudden started acting like a different child???? Or has anyone recently transitioned their child to daycare and experienced a similar shift in their LOs demeanor?? I’m feel like I’m losing my patience so much lately, and I don’t know what to do. I feel like I’m failing at being a mom. But maybe I just don’t know how to discipline. Ugh. Any help appreciated🙏🏻
