Waiting until birth to name the baby??

Oh lord....I think I may be one of those people who waits until the last possible moment to name their child. Our first baby is due in December and it’s a boy!! And we are completely stuck on names. My husband and I each have our favorites but neither of us can warm up to the others favorites. 😭🤦🏻‍♀️ The middle name will be Robert and the last name starts with a D. As of right now we have Dominic, Jackson, Theodore (Theo) and a couple others we’ve tossed around. Anyone else wait until their baby was born to officially choose a name?? We feel like we need to wait and see what the baby looks like but I’m scared I’ll be so exhausted I will just give in and choose what my husband wants 😂🤷🏻‍♀️  Which I’m sure would make him very happy!! Lol

We have a name but are well aware that when Little Miss is born we might look at her and be like “hell no she doesn’t look like that name would fit she needs another name“. So in theory we have picked a name but haven’t told anyone so we feel free to change our minds once she’s here :)

We’re not going to find out what we’re having so  def won’t have a name decided before birth but we’ll prob have a few for a boy and a few for a girl and then just see what the kid looks like and what name fits best

Nothing wrong with waiting until birth. We picked a few names and when he was born chose one. Seemed much easier once we could see him and which name fit him best. We will do this for our next one also.

That's what I thought we were gonna have to do with our little girl is wait and see what she looks like because we were stuck between 3 names and which order to put them in and eventually everything it came down to a compromise for me I had to be willing to say OK and it was hard but now that I know that it's going to be her name and I say it all day every day and we've had the baby shower I love it but I will not lie I did not like it at 1st 1st or middle name

I think we may be in the same boat with our girl due in dec. I’ve been thinking that we can both get 1 or 2 names that we like then wait till birth. when she comes out, hopefully we’ll just know which will suit her..

We don’t know the sex. We will have a few names for a girl or boy.
I’m kind of a hippie when it comes to this sort of thing. I have to see my baby before I give it a name. 
It took us three days to name our daughter, ah haaaa. But she definitely was not a Reese. 
I don’t understand committing to a name before birth. But I’m definitely in the minority!!

Its actually pretty common to wait until the baby is born to choose a name that fits. Idk if your in the states but most allow you a whole year to officially choose a name to put on the birth certificate. So don’t stress out about it, you have time.
