Is this too controlling?

so my boyfriend was being flirty with some co worker and then I found out he had been talking to his ex a few months ago. I broke up with him for a few days but I came back and we never set boundaries. I want to tell him that after working with someone for 10 hours every day the convos don’t need to come home. Is this too much to ask or should I just tell him to keep it pg? I don’t want to be a controlling insecure girlfriend like most of the women on this site would call me if I told him to cut contact. I dont know what to tell him..
