B. C. Recommendations?

I was on the depo for three shots. I hated every second of it but did not want to get pregnant. It made me depressed and I gained a lot of weight, as it makes your appetite virtually uncontrollable. My last shot was about 10 months ago. I wanted to give my body plenty of time to adjust back to normal hormonal balance before going back on b.c.

Now I am seeing someone who is very adamant about not having children. Though we both prefer sex without condoms, we are using then anyway to prevent kids. I would like to know what forms of birth control have given you the least amount of side effects. I am not interested in an iud or nuvaring. Inquiring mostly about different kinds of pills or patches. Any insight is appreciated!! Thanks!
