How to announce to parents out of state??

My parents are across the country; I am not going to see them for a few months. Any ideas of how to surprise my parents soon on video chat/with a package? I am probably 5 weeks along right now! My in-laws are going to find out this weekend I’m sure when they see I’m not drinking or smoking. I want to tell my parents soon too ahh! Thanks for help ladies :)

Mail them a pacifier and include a note that says something like "Hi Grandma and Grandpa! Can you hold onto this for me? I might need it when I come visit?" and include your due date.

I would seriously wait and as for the rest of your family finding out.. drinking can be not noticed,,, just say your not feeling up to drinking 🐥 lol i would wait until the dome and you know the gender and you have a bump.

I was pretty lame for two of my kids... I just called? 🤷🏻‍♀️ This time I decided to wait until they came to visit (which will be this weekend) and I’m having my kids tell them. But usually we won’t make a huge deal of announcing.
