Pregnancy tests

I’ve been TTC for about a year now and this is my first ever positive test. It’s all surreal now and was wondering how many tests you took before it finally made it real and when did you go to your doctor for them to test as well? I’m two weeks post ovulation and did one of those early detection kits. Like I said it’s hard to believe so don’t want to get my hopes up if it could be a false positive. Thanks!
