TTC ADVICE & HELP

So my periods always have been 3 days or 5 the most but this months cycle I’ve been on my period for 7 days today will b the 8th day but it’s only the ending part so I’ll b off completely by the end of the night. Does anyone know if this is normal? I’ve NEVER been on my period longer than 5 days. & also TMI my blood color was not so red like a normal color on my period it looked more like a bright red/orange mixed lol it’s really hard to explain. But hopefully someone gets what I mean. I’ve also taken a ovulation test today and it looks pretty dark can someone help me if it’s positive or almost positive
