Blood pressure 122/74?

Question

I just went to the pharmacy to get my blood pressure checked. It’s 122/74, which is considered slightly elevated. 
I went because I had slight swelling in my hands and lips/face this morning when I woke up.
The pharmacist said I should just watch my salt intake today and see if that helps.
Should I call L&D; and ask them or just wait and monitor things over the next few hours?
Has anyone else been sent to the hospital at 122/74?

122/74 isn’t elevated, at least not from what I’ve been told and I’m being monitored for chronic hypertension. Anything above 140/90 I would call.

That’s not an elevated blood pressure... mines been right around there most appointments and they tell me it’s great.

I’ve had those numbers (or around there) my whole pregnancy and my doctors aren’t concerned. From the sounds of it I have more swelling than you do too (I wake up and my feet are swollen and so are my fingers, it takes a bit for the fluid to even out and I wear compression stockings) so I think youre fine. Watch your salt and drink plenty of water!

That’s actually a good blood pressure. They get concerned when it gets to 140/90

I checked mine at Sam's club and it was 155/82. I felt okay though so I didn't go in :/

mines been around 147/80 and 158/60 so i wouldnt say yours is elevated hun dont dtress to much just bring it up at your next appointment if concerned.

My blood pressure is normally 100/50 - 95/45 range... it was 130/68 at my last appointment and while I was freaking out because that is incredibly high for me, my doctor said it was still not within a dangerous range.

It depends a little what you BP usually runs, if your normally in a 90/50 range, then yes it could be considered elevated, if your normal BP is around 115/65 then it would be normal range... however edema (swelling) in hands an face can be an early warning sign. I would do what the pharmacist said, reduce salt intake, get rest, drink plenty of water. If you get additional symptoms like headache or vision changes call your doc or l&d; right away, if your better tomorrow try to take things slow but I wouldn't worry.
