When did you take your December baby out?

My son was born in May when people aren’t usually “sick”. I’m having a baby girl December 5th, in flu season!😳
When were you comfortable taking your baby out? To the store, etc. Not family’s houses! 
My son I never worried about taking him out, I feel like I’m going to be Uber worried with a flu season baby!

I was extremely strict. He was in his car seat with a cover and NOBODY except for me, his dad and his grandparents were allowed near him. We had a very persistent lady at the grocery store who wanted to get in his face all the time and I had to politely tell her to get the fuck out of his face. After that I just told everyone “Yes, there’s a baby in there. No, you cannot see, hold or get near him. It’s flu season.”

I’m giving birth in South Korea and its customary to keep babies inside for the first 100 days. I like following cultural guidelines when I’m visiting/living in other places, plus I know too much when it comes to disease, so I like this idea 😂

We were at my parents house at around 2 weeks. Besides family's homes and doctor's appointments, I did not take him anywhere until he was six weeks old.

i had a carseat cover so i just left it on over my son when taking him out. he stayed warm and out of the light while he slept and i kept strangers away from him.
