Telling my bestie about my BF

Ive been dating my bf for 4 months now and he didn't really want to tell anyone right off the bat so we were supposed to wait 3 weeks. 3 months pass and Im at my friends bday party and she sees me and my bf sitting together[btw my bf and her are friends too before we started dating]

. She literally goes "you two look like a match made in heaven and should get together already" 😑😑😑. We just busted out laughing until my bf without telling me just says "yeah we are and shes my girlfriend"😱😱😱 My friend was sooo mad at me because i tell her everything and i didnt tell her about something this "important".

Do you think i should have waited or told her as soon as we got together??
