I’m a Latina and i am always very proud of being who i am and where I come from my mom and dad are 100% Mexican I have always spoke Spanish to them and my tias and tíos (aunts and uncles) but knowing what’s going on in the world with other people yelling at us for speaking our native tongue in public it scares me when I am out with my mom and we are speaking Spanish to each other especially in front of older white people I’ve never been scared to speak Spanish in public before I wonder if I’m the only one who feels like this ?
