The numbing shot kinda hurt but when they did the epidural I just felt pressure and kinda stinging

I was 20 hours into active labor and was having such strong contractions, I dont even remember feeling the epidural. as soon as they did it, they laid my down and I immediately fell asleep.

They do it during a contraction so you’re already in too much pain to feel it

The other pain you’ll be feeling at that time is waaaaaat worse than the epidural. The epidural is a relief!

I heard the numbing for it hurts more than the epidural its self which lasts like 2 seconds . But they usually give you it during a contraction so you dont feel it and i was told contractions hurt more than the epidural

Mine didn’t hurt any worse than getting a shot. They numb you first, then insert the epidural.
