Who watched your toddler when you gave birth to your second?

I'm in a new town and don't know many people . 
I'm having a section and would like my husband to be there with me for the 3 days I'll be in the hospital .
My son will be just turning 2 year old at the time . I'm getting so much anxiety because I don't want to be in the hospital alone but I don't know if I can trust hired help for 3 days or a "friend " I only met a couple months ago

Do you not have any family who can come for a visit and watch your toddler? Especially since you are having a scheduled c-section you won’t have to guess when you need them there. 
We don’t live near any family or close friends and I will absolutely not trust anyone but family to watch my 1 year old. My mom is coming to stay with us to watch him, which will be tricky since she lives 13 hours away and I don’t know when I will go into labor but we are planning to have her here a week before my due date and if it happens before that my husband will just have to stay with our son while I go it alone.

We have no one to watch our daughter so my husband and daughter are staying with me. We are bringing her playpen for sleeping and obviously toys to entertain her. She’s 2 1/2. Sure, she may be a bit bored for a few days but she’ll be okay. My husband will take her out every so often so she can have some space. We are going to use a lot of the time to show her all about her new brother. How to be nice, how to be quiet when he sleeps, etc.

We’re flying my MIL out 2 weeks before my due date. We’re buying a one way ticket so then she can leave when ever she feel s she needs to. So hopefully we’ll have her for the whole month after I deliver!

lucky for me, I use to work in child care and the friendships I made there I can rely on to help me with my son when baby #2 is here. two of them have plans of helping with my son when the time comes. had a natural birth, but bled a lot after so had to stay in hospital for 3 days. they are prepared for this. grandparents are too old to watch my two year old for a few days while we are at the hospital.

I had a friend who planned for her family to come over and had her family fly in town and watched her little boys. she too had planned c- section so it made it easier for to have a set date for family to arrive. maybe you could do that? but answering your question, I only had one little girl so she spent the night with my parents then the next day my sister in law took her. Now, I'm pregnant with #3 and I think I'll have the same people watching my babies for me.

My husband’s mom will get on the road as soon as we head to the hospital. She lives five hours away, so kid #1 will likely be with us for a few hours. Depending on the day and time, we have some friends who might be able to come watch her, but none of them can really take off work for that so 🤷‍♀️
