Honesty or Ego Boost

Straight to the point my boyfriend always tells me when women flirt with him. I don’t know why and if he thinks I want to know these things but today he tells me a cafe we go to, the workers flirted with him and he got a free breakfast. I got pissed off. I dont know if its because I am sick of hearing about it or because my period is coming. He then says “they asked about you” ...

That made me upset. I told him “so they asked about your girlfriend, flirted with you and then gave you a free breakfast? Is that not disrespectful?”

He responded with something that basically said I am overreacting just a bit...

What would you feel? I didnt care before but now I feel like he might be insecure and loves that he can pull other females or is trying to show me as such.
