Would you be annoyed if your boyf cancelled on you twice in a week?

I realise I sound about 12 but I just wanna hear your views. 
So, my boyf and I had a date on Thursday and he was meant to have the day off on Friday but he ended up going to work so he promised we'd go the beach on Sunday. However, he went out Saturday night so as you can imagine we didn't see each other on Sunday. He called me this a.m. and was like "sorry about yday I'll come over tonight." Buuuuut he ended up going to work again tonight. 
Like, I feel super annoyed but Idk if I'm overreacting?

Yea that is annoying. If you have to go to work whatever but I’m not understanding why he couldn’t still come over Sunday?

Once I drove all the way back in from my grandparents two days earlier then I needed to because we had plans. He went out the night before and then worked, decided he was to sick and cancelled after I had already left. I was so angry, at the time i still had a really hard time communicating to him but when he found out, he felt so bad. Now he’s so super diligent on making sure he doesn’t cancel or have to work. Next time you see him explain to him how you feel

And like, where do I go from here? I'm not even so much pissed off about cancelling I'm pissed off that he couldn't just drop me a message as soon as he knew?
