Should a company be allowed to sell instructions/blueprints for 3D printing of guns?

I’ve been going back and forth on posting this. I’m not interested in having the same gun debate we always have here in CC, but I really think this is a new issue that deserves to be discussed. Here’s the screen shots of an article:

So, given the fact that there would be no background checks and these weapons aren’t found by metal detectors, do you think the company should be allowed to sell the 3D printing instructions?

What in science  is this 🤦🏼‍♀️ I barely  learned how to use a cricut. I couldn't  imagine anyone being able to use a 3d printer for this.... so No this shouldn't  be a thing.

Violent offenders could print weapons, they can’t be checked through metal detectors or security. I actually just read a book about this. It was fiction but it was a pilot who got it through security and had a grudge against the company. He winded up shooting two people.

This isn't an issue and here's why: 
3D printers cost thousands of dollars. Yes you can get very small cheaper ones but the one you need to print these are the more expensive $5-10k. 
The materials are expensive, also several hundred dollars per ounce of plastic.
The printers use thermoplastics which cannot really be used to shoot bullets. You might get ONE shot off or you might have a plastic explosion shooting molten plastic shrapnel in your face. They can't be used more than once if once at all.
The printing takes hours and hours up to days depending on the difficulty. And each part needs to be printed seperately, then assembled. You can't print a fully functioning gun in one go.
People are not going to spend tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars to print a few plastic guns that might only be able to fire once. The kind of people who'd do that are bored rich people who aren't they type to go around killing people. They just want to do it cuz they're dumb and bored and think it's cool.
A criminal doesnt want to go through all this just to get a one time chance at a possible single shot, he'd rather get a black market gun for $200.

This is insane that dump wants to make it legal to print 3D guns. Because America doesn't already have enough of a gun problem.. Ffs America is going to hell in a hand basket and is gonna drag the rest of us down with it.

As I understand from someone who 3d prints crazy things and worked on a gun range...these 3d printed guns tend to explode when used. So that doesn't seem safe. I wonder if these plans fixed that issue? I admit I didn't read the whole article.

I say no, only because eventually I’m sure these will be sold to regular joe walking down the street. Future thinking vs. just right now. I don’t like that it can’t be detected since it’s not metal.

No because guns should be purchased with a background check by an adult! Not be able to be made by a 13 year old in their garage!!
The criminal part made me eye-roll a bit. Like they dont already have access to really guns easily?
I'm more worried about kids who get bullied or have anger issues making a gun using their computer!!
