Accurate or inaccurate?

Okay so I read something on another fertility app that I have and it claimed if you insert a tampon after sex you will have a higher chance of pregnancy since you’re trapping most of the sperm.

My thing is although it sounds reasonable in a way it also sounds silly. A tampons job is to absorb bodily fluids such as your period, so that would most likely soak up the sperm as well.

I just want to hear the opinions of other females and experts to see what they have to say about it.
