Let baby “cry it out”

SO and I have been told by many people that it’s okay to sometimes let the baby cry. “It’s good for them” “they’ll become glued to you if you don’t” “sometimes they just need to cry it out”. Maybe but when my baby is crying, he’s crying for a reason and we’ve been feeling confused about what to do sometimes when we can’t figure it out. I went to babycenter.com and asked the question “should I let my baby cry” soooo many answers and responses. This one particular answer hit home and decided it for us.
