Newborn, Acid Reflux, Change Formula?

Question

My son is 11 days old and I think he suffers from acid reflux and gas. I hear it come up and he swallows it back down. And after feeding him he does not burp all the time or it takes a while. He also has trouble pooping sometimes but he does go eventually and its mushy, not diarrhea. He is on Similac Sensitive, and is a month premature so I cant put him on soy I dont think, nor do I want to. Anyone else have any experience with infant acid reflux or digestion issues?

We tried similac sensitive and had the same issues. We switched to similac alimentum after consulting with our doc and things are better. It hasn’t helped the reflux issue but it’s helped my baby’s poops and gas issue. We’re hoping to get on meds for the reflux.

I know this an older post but my son is 4 weeks old and we're struggling with the exact same thing right now you described, the spit, up hard to burp, even the pooping issue. I was very curious as to find if you figured out something that helped you all?

My daughter had the same issues your going through. We used similac sensitive and it didn’t help. I switched her to soy and all the problems are gone.

Any signs match a dairy allergy? If you suspect it you can have the pediatrician test a dirty diaper for blood in the stool. 
Otherwise I’d consider a different formula.
