What’s going on?

So on Sunday afternoon I had a vvfl on a test. I took one again yesterday because I couldn’t hold off until today to test, but that one was lighter. Only on a 2 hr pee hold. So this morning on about a 5 hr hold, because I go to bed really late, and then had to go to the bathroom when the hubs left for work, it was lighter than on Sunday. I’m not sure if my period was supposed to show up yesterday, today, or maybe even later than that. I had quite a bit of brown mucous on Sunday one time, and then little spots of brown after that a couple of times. Since then, barely anything. I understand chemical pregnancies, but has anyone had this happen and had a normal pregnancy?
