Paps and Pegnancy..?

I am due for my yearly exam in October, I hope to be pregnant by then.. Do I need to keep this appointment? I read that you typically get a pap at your first prenatal appointment so wouldn't it be redundant to get it in October (If I'm not preg by then) just to turn around and get one again after I get pregnant?

I would wait till you actually got pregnant to cancel the appointment.

I’d keep it. I had my “yearly” pap back in April because of my 6 week pp checkup and got pregnant at the end of April and my OB didn’t do another pap because I had already gotten one

They won’t do a pap if you’ve had one recently. My first appointment she gave me the choice of getting one or not cause I’d had one like 2.5 years ago and you’re supposed to have them every 3.
