Does your baby use you as a pacifier?

Mine does and another mom said I needed to nip it in the bud. My daughter is only 5 weeks old! I feel like she’s fine and I don’t mind her constantly wanting me like that. Thoughts?

Its actually really important to let your baby use you to comfort nurse. It helps your supply! It helps your body get ready for growth spurts too! Plus why is a man made pacifier better than Mama??!

Oh my guy totally uses me as pacifier. I don’t think it’s bad, I can give him that comfort and I love it. Don’t get me wrong, it makes it hard to get stuff done but he’s just so sweet and wants his mama. My boy will be 5 weeks on Thursday. I’m trying to introduce a regular pacifier but he really just wants me. I don’t see a problem with it 🤷🏻‍♀️

My baby girl will be 7 weeks tomorrow and she does. My husband says I’m spoiling her lol. ( he’s joking though)

Grrr! I thought this said does your baby use a pacifier. Boo. Yes. Yes she does use me as a pacifier. It’s exhausting but she’s only a tiny baby for so long. So I don’t mind. Plus with going. Back to work soon I don’t mind the extra love and snuggles.

I've been told by midwives that they're trying to increase your supply to keep up with them as they grow and that they're tummies are so small, it's not unusual for them to want to feed often and little. I felt like my little one just wanted to be constantly on me when he was brand new and also wondered if he was just using me as a soother but just nursed him as and when he wanted anyways... now he's 8 weeks, feeds for 10-15 mins every couple of hours during the day, less during the night, weighs 14lb9oz and is a happy little chappy :) just do what feels right for you and your little one, ignore other mums x

We took a baby/tot first aid class at the hospital and they told us that binkys (especially at sleep time) can help reduce SIDS.  Other mom needs to mind her own business.  I’m sure she thinks it’s causing nipple confusion, but my son was fine bouncing back and fourth that young.

Yup! She also prefers my finger in a pinch over her plastic pacifier.

My babe comfort nurses on me instead. We’ve played with the pacifier as like a teething toy but I’d love to be able to use it in the car because he hates being alone back there but he just spits it out 🤷🏼‍♀️
