Is “Atlas” too weird of a name?

My husband and I like the name Atlas for a boy, but we’re concerned that it’s too out there. Half our family loves it, half of them don’t care for it.

My best friends sister called her son Atlas, before she got pregnant she was always travelling and he came as a surprise.  He’s 5 months now and she’s taking him along with her on her travels, a name couldn’t be more fitting! It’s a lovely name

I'm not sure what kind of music you like, but there's a band called Coheed and Cambria that has a song called Atlas. it's actually about the lead singer's son, Atlas. I fell in love with the name when I heard the song. 😊

“Atlas” is a programme I use at work... but if you like the name, then why not!

It's still uncommon but it's rising in popularity a bit over the last couple years. In a few more it probably won't be weird at all. I think it's cute.
