Baby keeps standing while taking a bath?

Question

Recently, my little man only wants to take a bath standing. He loves touching the faucet 🙄 The problem is that the bathtub is slippery, even with a rubber mat, so he falls and tries again and again until the bath is over. I’m afraid he will really hurt himself. 
Anyone else having this issue? What do you do?

I just keep picking my daughter up, sit her down, and I say “we sit in the tub to stay safe.” Not a quick fix but I figure I am teaching her. 🤷‍♀️

We just let him. It’ll likely cause worse injuries if you try to stop him or pull him away when something happens. He’s exploring.

Mine does this constantly...I hate it. He even tries to stuff the faucet in his mouth 🤪 yuck! I’m asking for some more engaging bath toys for birthday gifts that aren’t just squirties and foam stick ones. Things he will hopefully find interesting. Until then I let him play with it some but then try to redirect and then bath time is over if it’s too incessant.

Mine does that. I bought a rubber faucet cover at target as well as the bath mat and just stay right next to hi in case he slips.

We have a little bath seat, and she just figured out she can splash with her feet in it so bathtime got MUCH more entertaining for her. 
Maybe try a seat? Ours suction cups to the bottom and has a T-shaped bar across her lap.

Yep! I just try to be consistent and sit her back down and tell her it’s not safe to stand up, eventually she’ll learn what I’m saying!

We use a bath chair so she cant stand.

I hover and try to catch my daughter whenever she slips. I also keep telling her whenever she's trying something more slippery than usual, and she seems to be slower and thoughtful - ooor I just wish so and see what I wish to see.

Same issue here, and he loves playing peekaboo with the shower curtain, I posted a video ❤️👶🏻😆 he slips sometimes but it’s kind like a slide and he’s always ok. 
I try turning him around like another mom posted on here but it doesn’t usually work for me either.
I know moms with 1.5 year olds who still stand and crawl and walk in the water. And I know a 2 year old who is great about sitting. 
I’m just keeping an eye on mine and hoping he gets bored with the faucet (and drain) and wants to play with toys instead!
I also need to get a pool noodle to cover my faucet. I bought the whale thing from target but it didn’t fit ours :(

My son does the same thing. I really don’t think there’s any stopping him lol. Just keep a close eye.
