Anyone here into gardening or good at identifying trees?

There’s two trees in my area that I really like but have no idea what kind they are. I’ve tried to do a leaf search but I’m not 100% sure I did it right. The first one came up as an Aspen tree. It started to get dark when I took the pics so if needed I can get better ones tomorrow morning.

Where do you live? My brother-in-law says he *thinks* the first one is a Mulberry and the second could be a White Basswood. He’s an agriculture teacher and insufferable on hikes because he quizzes everyone on trees. However, we live in the southeast so the trees could be vastly different depending on where you live. If you can get a clear picture of a whole leaf, he could probably give you a more definitive answer.
