Back labor? FTM when do I go in?

I’m 36 weeks. Baby dropped big 2 days ago and I’ve had irregular contractions since. But Anyone have labor start in their back? It woke up me tonight but seems to be constant dull ache with tightening that goes around into my lower abdomen and groin? Started timing the tightening/backpain/cramps and it’s about 5-10 min apart so far lasting anywhere from 39 sec to 2 min. I’m about 1 hour from hospital, how do I know if it’s true labor and not false labor?
