How much money do you spend on a newborn monthly?

I’m trying to budget things so I’m wondering. I plan to breast feed but it might turn into formula if I can’t produce enough so I’d like formula to be added to costs. Same with diapers and wipes and whatever else. This budget is for first year only.. obviously they require less diapers and wipes as they grow older lol

We’re doing cloth diapers and breastfeeding, so besides the start up cost of around 200-500 for diapers (mine will be lower bc my SIL is passing her collection to me,) we won’t really have any costs. We are fortunate to have good insurance. If you’re strapped for cash, look into cloth diapers, they’re much, much cheaper in the long run.

I used cloth diapers so that was about $300 before baby came and breastfed so nothing there. I put $25 to $50 in case you need clothes, toys, something unexpected. I think in my actual budget I only did $20 at the beginning.

Every 3 months we take 40 to buy diapers and wipes. Every week we spend about 25 on formula and baby food. 
We have an 8 month old. 
We buy the Walmart brand diapers, wipes, and formula and we buy the big packs so it’s cheaper in the long run for us

depends if you go generic it'll be cheaper than if you go name brand for instance a can of generic formula from Walmart is about $20 for a big one and for a big can of Similac it's close to $40 diapers target up and up are around 25$ a box of pampers or huggies around 40. sonit really all depends

The biggest expense is child care if you need and adding baby to your health insurance. Diapers are about $50 a month. Formula is expensive, I pay about $70 a month just from supplementing, if I was doing formula only it would be more.

For a newborn if you wasn't prepared anything from 100-150. But thank God I'm ready I shouldn't have to spend any money for the first 3 months.

I’d say the second option for us. A can of formula was $28 ($32 before our Walmart discount). We were good on diapers. And we’d just buy a lot of clothes and toys for her 😂
