Trying for a boy?

My new husband and I recently decided to start a family...no luck yet but he comes from family of many many girls on all sides, so the pressure is on to have a little boy. We will/would be thrilled just to have a healthy baby regardless of gender but I have heard of so called "recipes" to conceive a boy. Anyone had any luck? If so what did you do?
