How is everyone’s SO doing in this process?

Hey ladies! Just wondering how everyone else’s SO is handing <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">ivf</a>? My husband simply isn’t... and I’m super frustrated. I’m on day 6 of stims and it seems that my husband is on a completely different planet than me. He is short tempered, and really driving me to the edge.

I’ve spent the entire week tip toeing around him and he is NEVER like this normally. The only week I asl for support, I get a total asshole.

I’d like to blame my outlook on the hormones but I don’t even feel out of whack at all. Besides the bloating, I’m lucky and these meds have been extremely kind to me!!! Clomid was way worse for me!

I guess I’m venting, but also wondering if anyone else’s husband is handling this poorly?

Men deal and process differently than us.. he might be dealing with same emotions as you but internalizing them and in turn causing the tension between you guys.  You would be suprised how emotional men are during IVF but will never expose it.. and you know men can't process emotions well so it adds to their frustrations... we definitely need support during this time but we can't forget our partners who are suffering through this too... just in their own annoying way lol... baby dust to everyone!

my husband sounds like a complete fairytale prince after reading this 😂😂
he doesn't expect anything from me right now.
I wasnt home for a week before retrieval, and got home with him at night after retrieval.
I've told him very clearly that my body feels really heavy and hurts a lot, so I'm happy just to be able to get out of bed by myself, get my morning coffee and some food. I've sat on the couch for days now, playing sims4 and not done anything really. he even called me one of the days he was away with work, just to check up If I had eaten something at all. 
Of course he was a bit pissed getting home from a work-trip, and raged in the kitchen throwing stuff around while making dinner, but that's how he is when he haven't been able to sleep because of work, so it had nothing to do with me 🙈
I got 22 eggs so the clinic was afraid of ohss and I dont get a transfer this time around. trying to just keep my level of activity low as moving a lot makes it worse.

We had a mini blow-out over my husband not knowing anything about the process and getting frustrated I wasn’t keeping him “informed” early on, but after a couple conversations he sat down with a note pad and actually wrote down the process. The trigger was when he got upset with me when I told him I couldn’t give him an exact date for ER and that he’d need to take off work (at least a half day) to drive me home after/leave a fresh sperm sample.
We’ve done couples counseling in the past and when it gets tough we try to fall back on what we learned together. I’m a therapist myself so I have to dial back my need for almost hyper-communication and acknowledge when he needs the space to process/have faith he’ll come around in his own time.

Literally just got in an argument with my husband. Asked him last night to read the instruction sheet that came with the gonal f pen so we would both know what we were doing. I have to take it with me on a flight this weekend and will have to do one of the shots at the airport so I want to be really prepared. I quized him on it tonight basically, just asked so do you remember how to do it. And his answer was its easy you just snap the top on and dial to the right dosage. Which I guess isn’t that wrong but to me it’s not easy and you don’t just snap the top on. It just makes me feel like he’s trying to support me as much as I’d like. Maybe I’m expecting too much haha.

My husband and I got in a big fight the other night and we also rarely fight. He asked me to do yard work and pull some weeds on my days off this week (but not in a nice way, more like an accusatory you haven’t done anything this week and our house is a mess way) and I LOST IT! Part of it was definitely me being a little bit of a crazy person but it just frustrates me because he’s been nagging me a lot about household things this week and I feel like with everything going on that is hardly important!! We both work full time and split household duties evenly, but I just feel like I deserve a break this week is all I mean come on my body is on a wild ride! Overall though, I almost think having a blow up was really good for us because it forced us to communicate and now he understands how I’m feeling (he claims he didn’t know I was injecting medicine that interferes with my hormones... I’m telling you his lack of knowledge regarding this process is really insane especially because he’s a masters educated individual). Things have been better ever since we talked it out. Have you tried sitting your hubby down and asking him what is up?! My bet is he’s stressed about this process too but has man emotions and isn’t able to express his frustrations to you adequately so he’s just acting angry. That’s basically the conclusion my husband and I came to/what he admitted to me. Hope it gets better love!! It’s tough enough without your partner being supportive!

My husband's been pretty good about everything actually, I know he's been tired from waking up early to take me to appointments then having to go to work, plus work has been stressing him out. I think he feels bad that he can't do more, i thought he could try and at least mix my meds but that didn't go well, I blew up on him pretty bad for that :-/ he was trying to get work days and stuff for my birthday sorted and kept asking when I thought things were going happen and i had to keep telling him that I don't know unfortunately. He's not really the type to take anything out on me though... when it comes to our marriage I'm definitely the bad one lol
