Feeling concerned

So I went to the dr on the 9th and I had just made 5 was they did a pregnancy test which is procedure well after that they did an ultrasound well they didn’t see a gestational sac i immediately went into panic mode the dr then said it was probably too early to do the ultrasound or the baby is in my tubes which is an ectopic pregnancy... has this ever happened to anyone before or to someone you may know? I googled the signs of an ectopic pregnancy which I don’t have any but it’s still scary I go back to the dr tomorrow for an hcg count and then back to the dr on Monday for another ultrasound. I’m extremely scared because this never happened to me before. I have a feeling the ultrasound was taken too early and on the other hand I’m still nervous and scared
