Mirena side effects?

I got the mirena IUD on July 30th and was really crampy/sporting for about a week and a half. That was the only clear side effect my doctor told me about. I’ve also been having a headache for at least a few hours every day for the past 5 or so days.

Sometimes they’ll come on at night and i assume it’s because I’m tired, other times i wake up with them and they don’t go away at all.

I havent really taken medicine because most of the time i try to nap it off or just go to bed.

I am wondering if these headaches are a side effect of mirena, or if it might be something else (i have also cut back a lot on my caffeine consumption).

Any advice?
