Should I call my OBGYN

Hi, I have had my IUD for 8 months now.

This past week i have been feeling like my iud is low , checked the strings the other day they were fine. Last night my bf and I had sex and he said he could feel the iud itself. I checked my strings this morning and they are lower. Also I have been feeling pressure down there and cramps all day. Does that mean my iud is falling out and I should get my doctor to take it out? Never experienced this before.
