TTC for baby #2 via VBAC... NEED MOMMY ADVICE PLEASE! 🙏🏽

When I had my daughter who will be 8 months old in a few days I never anticipated having to have a c-section. I went into labor without my water breaking Sunday evening, went to the hospital and they sent me home because I was only 1.5 cm dilated. Contractions lasted all night and all the next day. I was scheduled for my 40 week appointment but the doctors office said to head to the hospital since I still had contractions 5-7 minutes apart. They sent me home again, but I decided to walk around as much as possible and finally got admitted late in the evening on Monday. After two epidurals...yes two because the catheter for the first one fell out due to only one piece of tape being placed on my back...I felt the urge to push but was only 5 cms early Tuesday morning. After a few more hours of them giving me a peanut (odd shaped yoga ball between my legs) and turning in both sides the doctor decided I would need a c-section since I had such slow progression. Come to find out Layla was sunnyside up which was causing the long labor and urge to push so bad. Doctor said I would’ve needed a c-section anyways and that baby number two will have to be the same. I have an appointment with an OB who specializes in VBAC next month and want to see what he thinks before we start TTC for baby number two.

I want to hear from anyone who has had a VBAC or wanted to after a c-section. I am hoping my chances will be good as I have a small incision and it was mostly the babies position that caused the distress my first delivery. I also would love to hear how long you waited to have your second baby. My daughter turns 8 months on the 19th and we are hoping to get pregnant by December so she’ll be a little over 1 1/2 years old. This will most likely be our last baby and we want them closer together because we feel it will be the best for their sibling relationship and for us to get all of the diapers, late nights, and god knows what else done altogether 😂.
